Global Domination Is On Its Way

This is a classic Evil Empire idea, but it'll actually be great for the world. Google will soon provide infinite storage for everyone, and control the data of millions of people around the globe. This is the wet dream of companies like Sony and Microsoft, which are all trying to provide seamless transfer of data from one device to another. Storing everything online would make your data available to any device anywhere.

And you won't even worry about privacy or security issues. Why? Because you've already given up all your precious data to both Google and Microsoft in the form of webmail. Email on average contains more sensitive information then the files on your harddrive. Google has also started storing online indexes of people's harddrives with Desktop Search 3. So far only corporations have complained about employees allowing Desktop Search to send back indexes of sensitive data. But the general public doesn't mind. It's a great service. Online storage of our files is too useful to be ignored or avoided or feared. It'll happen, and you'll use it, regardless of how you feel about privacy issues.
